Man Charged After Estabrook Park Oak Leaf Trail Assault: Report
A man recently appeared in court on charges of assault on the Oak Leaf Trail. He pleaded not guilty.

MILWAUKEE, WI β A man pleaded not guilty to the assault of a woman on the Oak Leaf Trail in Estabrook Park earlier this year at a court appearance Saturday, CBS 58 reported.
On June 16 police said a man shoved a woman on the Oak Leaf Trail to the ground and ran away. The incident was similar to others that had recently happened along the trail where women were sexually assaulted near Estabrook and Lincoln parks.
Mark Allen Kaufert, 37, was charged with disorderly conduct, sexual assault, and multiple counts of bail jumping, court records show.

The charges are in connection to the assault that happened in Estabrook Park as well as the other similar assaults along the Oak Leaf Trail, the CBS 58 report said.
Milwaukee County Sheriff Earnell Lucas said there is strong evidence that "demonstrated Mr. Kaufert was the individual responsible for the offenses charged on or near the Oak Leaf Trail," according to the CBS 58 report.
