Man Dies At Hospital After He Is Found Unresponsive in Shorewood P.D. Jail Cell
The man was taken to a local hospital where further lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful and he passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016.

The headline for this article was edited Monday morning to correctly report that the man was pronounced dead at the hospital after he was found unresponsive in his cell.
Shorewood, Wis. – On August 15, 2016, at 2:25 a.m. a 39 year-old white male from Shorewood was taken into custody without incident on suspicion of domestic violence.
While in custody at the Shorewood Police Department a Shorewood Police Officer found the male alone and unresponsive in his cell in the Shorewood Municipal Lock up at approximately 4:20 a.m.

Officers immediately began CPR and summoned the North Shore Fire Department. He was taken to a local hospital where further lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful and he passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016.
Per state law, the investigation is being handled by the Milwaukee County Investigative Team which is being lead by the Greenfield Police Department. In order to preserve the integrity of this independent investigation, we are unable to release any additional details until the investigation is complete.
