What images come to your mind when you hear “Muslim” or “Islam”? What you know about the basic practices and principles of Islam? Do you know any Muslims personally? Are you willing to move beyond the stereotypes that one is presented with in popular culture? Are you curious? Here is your chance! The Shorewood village center (below the public library) will host an informal presentation by local Muslims about their beliefs this Saturday, June 13th 10:30 - 2:30 pm. There will also be a question and answer session following the presentation. This is an open discussion that will be done in a relaxed manner. Refreshments and appetizers will be served.
