Metro Market Thief Pointed Gun At Security: Report

Police say when the suspect was approached by the loss prevention officer, the suspect pointed a firearm at him.

SHOREWOOD, WI -- Police in Shorewood say they're on the lookout for a retail theft suspect after he reportedly pointed a gun at a security officer at the Metro Market yesterday.

According to Shorewood police, officers were called to the Metro Market on Oakland Ave. for a person who reportedly stole a number of items from the store's liquor department just after 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 19.

According to police, the suspect was followed out of the store by the loss prevention officer to the parking structure. Police say when the suspect was approached by the loss prevention officer, the suspect pointed a firearm at him.

Police say the suspect fled the scene in a smaller silver vehicle. Police described the suspect as about six feet tall, with black braids with red highlights. He was wearing gray sweatpants and a black puffy jacket with fur on the hood. No injuries were reported.
