Mic Over Matter And Art Market Wednesday: Shorewood Summer Sounds

At Hubbard Park this Wednesday: A band that puts an acoustic and violin twist to its pop and classic rock covers, and an art market.

SHOREWOOD, WI β€” Shorewood's Summer Sounds free music series continues this Wednesday with a concert from Milwaukee band Mic Over Matter. The Shorewood Artisan Market will also make another appearance.

Shorewood Summer Sounds brings free music to Hubbard Park each week throughout the summer. Attendants can listen to the free music, grab a drink from the nearby Hubbard Park beer garden, and new this year, peruse original works of art at a market.

This week's show will feature a 5-piece cover band, Mic Over Matter, who plays a set that ranges from contemporary musicians such as George Ezra, Walk the Moon and AWOLNATION, to classics like the Dave Matthews Band, Jimi Hendrix and The Beatles, according to Mic Over Matter's website.

The band plays its variety of hits with its own acoustic and violin twist, its website said.

The Shorewood Artisan Market will also be making an appearance at this week's Summer Sounds concert. The market achieved approval from the city this summer and has launched into its first year of events with hopes to continue next year as well, Patch previously reported.

The market brings a diverse set of artists from across the Milwaukee area to put their original artwork up for sale, the report said.
