Milwaukee Art Museum Hosts Kohl's Art Generation Open Studio: Painted Stories

Extended studio hours over winter break!

Winter break is nearly here, leaving many parents looking for creative and fun ways to keep the kids busy during their days off. The Milwaukee Art Museum has the perfect solution: the Kohl’s Art Generation Studio. The Kohl’s Art Generation Studio is open every day the Museum is open: Tuesday through Sunday, with additional holiday hours on Monday, December 22 and December 29. Children and families are invited to come, explore, and create.

The December Studio theme is focused on family and the many paintings of people in Of Heaven and Earth: 500 Years of Italian Painting. Visitors can make a family portrait—perfect to give as a holiday gift. They can also looks to the master Italian painters in the exhibition to learn about perspective, color, and light tricks to make their paintings pop! Kohl’s Art Generation programs are free with Museum admission. Kids 12 and under are always free.
