Milwaukee Brat House Opens in Shorewood
The Brat House, located at 4022 N. Oakland Ave., is the former home of the Oakcrest Tavern. Here's what you need to know:

SHOREWOOD, WI — Just in time for the 2017 NFL football season, the Milwaukee Brat House is now open in Shorewood.
The Brat House, located at 4022 N. Oakland Ave., is the former home of the Oakcrest Tavern. According to the OnMilwaukee, the Brat House menu features a variety of sausage sampler plates, classic and specialty sausage sandwiches, build-your-own sausage plates and a raft of delicious appetizers.
There's even a children's menu and desserts, such as cheesecake and root beer floats.The restaurant, which is open seven days a week, opens at 11 a.m. and closes typically at bar time.

The Brat House offers bus shuttles to notable Milwaukee sporting events such as Brewers, Bucks and Marquette basketball games. The Shorewood Brat House will serve dinner until 2 a.m. and offer brunch on the weekends.

The location had been where the Oakcrest Tavern had operated for more than 10 years. The popular bar restaurant, was known for its Thursday trivia nights and Friday fish fry.
In April, a sign was posted on the front window of the bar restaurant, stating, "Oakcrest Tavern is closed and being sold to another local operator. We would like to thank each of you for your patronage and for making these past 10 years unforgettable."
