A NEW Breed of 2015-2016 Candidates for Milwaukee
Davis, Jones, Methu, Shaw and Sugden represent a NEW BREED of politicians
SATURDAY TALK - a monthly focus on “Following the Money” and providing Information for INFORMED DECISION-MAKING.
Saturday, June 27, 2015 was the monthly meeting powered by Milwaukee Professionals Association LLC . The guest speakers included five (5) candidates running for office in the 2016 election; with one candidate involved in a Special Election of August for the vacant seat of District 11. Alderman Jim Dudzik was accidentally killed and the position is presently vacant. Michael Sugden Jr. is one of the candidates pursuing the position.
The candidates Opening Remarks gave the audience a snapshot of their background involvement with the city of Milwaukee and what they are bringing to the table for review and consideration for the offices of mayor and aldermen for three districts. The candidates are:

- James Methu - Mayor
- Andrew Shaw - Alderman, District 4
- Randy Jones - Alderman, District 7
- Michael Sugden Jr. - Alderman, District 11
The audience was given the consensus disappointment of each of the candidates of the failure of the Arena and Park East real estate plan proposed on June 4, 2015 by Scott Walker - Governor, Chris Abele - County Executive and Tom Barrett - Mayor of Milwaukee.
They expressed the importance of economic development tied to the neighborhood with neighborhood and corporate businesses. And, the proposed Arena plan placed unwarranted tax burden and failed to provide the opportunities of partnership to remove Enduring Concentrated Poverty.
