Police Searching for Suspects in Thursday Strong Arm Robbery on N. Maryland Ave.

Police are searching for multiple strong-armed robbery suspects after an incident involving a 19-year-old female victim Thursday night.

SHOREWOOD -- Police are searching for multiple strong-armed robbery suspects after an incident involving a 19-year-old female victim Thursday night.

On Thursday, November 17, 2016, at about 10:20p.m. Shorewood police squads responded to a strong arm robbery at the corner of N. Maryland Ave.and E Menlo Blvd.

The 19 year old female victim was approached by two unknown male subjects, while she was walking to her residence. The victim was struck by one of the suspects, who attempted to steal her purse.

After struggling to steal the purse the suspect struck the victim again and was able to get the purse from the victim.

The suspects fled in an older model dark blue sedan, unknown plate, unknown make and model, which was waiting in the area. The incident is under investigation and anyone with information is urged to contact the Shorewood Police Department.
