Police: Two 14-Year-Old Boys Burglarize Shorewood Home

Homeowner finds boys in bathroom, recognizes one as son's friend. They allegedly take three watches and a jug of coins.

Two 14-year-old boys were taken into custody at Roosevelt Middle School of the Arts in Milwaukee on Tuesday afternoon after they allegedly broke into and burglarized a home in Shorewood earlier in the day.

According to , the boys entered a house in the 4100 block of North Murray Avenue through a closed but unlocked front window. A woman who lives in the house came home at 11:15 a.m. to find the boys in her bathroom.

Police said the woman recognized one of the boys as a friend of her son. The pair told the women that they were with her son, but he was not at home. The boys fled out the kitchen door and were taken into costudy at 4:15 p.m.

According to police, three watches and a jug full of coins were taken during the incident.
