...I think, before Hale-Patch does away with the sites that have no editors and, thus, no new, local content. Even if they don’t do away with these sites, I think it’s pretty clear that their plans, at this point, do not include anything beyond what we’re seeing now.
Many years ago I set up what was basically a blogging site (actually predated the term itself) where people could post in a fashion similar to the way we do here and others could comment on what was posted (as we do here). The website hosting service was free as were all the plugins that made it functional. At the time, I think I had to grant permission for posting, but that may not be necessary with some of the newer widgets available.
If there’s any interest in having something like that, either to use now or to maintain contact should they actually shut this place down, I’d be more than happy to set another site like that up again.
