Ring in the Jewish New Year at Lake Park

Rosh Hashanah Shofar Blowing to ring in Jewish New Year to be held at Lake Park, Milwaukee, WI

Among the many beautiful traditions associated with the Jewish New Year is the traditional “Shofar” blasts. The “Shofar” is made of a ram’s horn, and is blown to herald the beginning of a new year. Each year on Rosh Hashana, Jews attend High Holiday services around the world, and the Shofar blowing is always a highlight.

This year, Chabad of the East Side is offering a new and exciting option for those who cannot attend services: Shofar in the Park! On Monday, September 14, from 5:30-6:30 pm, Chabad will host a Shofar ceremony at Lake Park, in Milwaukee. Participants will hear the Shofar blasts and enjoy an apple and honey bar and other traditional Rosh Hashana refreshments.

This is a FREE event, make sure to spread the word so everyone can celebrate this holiday!

All are welcome to join the Shofar in the Park, regardless of Jewish affiliation or background. For more information, please visit our website www.chabadoftheeastside.com/ShofarinthePark or find us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/chabadoftheeastside.
