Road Closures for the Shorewood Criterium Cycling Classic

SHOREWOOD - The Shorewood Criterium Cycling Classic will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016, causing road closures and alternate traffic patterns.

Officials want everyone to know of the changes in order to plan ahead for tomorrow.

To accommodate set up for the event, the roads that make up the perimeter of the course will be closed at approximately 12:45 pm. No vehicular traffic will be allowed to enter or exit the closed course until the conclusion of the races; estimated to be approximately 9:30p.m. - 10:00p.m. For resident’s living within the closed area of the course, it would be best to park on the street outside of the race route should you anticipate needing to leave during the races.

For those utilizing the Milwaukee County Transit System’s Greenline bus route during the time frame that the race course is closed, the detour route for the bus line is listed below:

Northbound: From north on Oakland, West (L) on Olive, north (R) on
Woodburn, west (L) on Hampton to regular route.

Southbound: From east on Hampton, south (R) on Woodburn, southeast (L)
on Kenmore, south (R) on Morris, east (L) on Capitol, south
(R) on Oakland to regular route.
