Shorewood Police Blotter Aug. 24, 2017

Here's the week's round up of police activity in Shorewood.

SHOREWOOD, WI — This is the weekly police blotter released by the Shorewood Police Department. Police responded to theft, an OWI, trespassing and vandalism.


A $2,000 Specialized bicycle secured to a pole was taken from the 4300 block of North Wilson Drive between midnight and 9 a.m. Aug. 6. The theft was reported Aug. 12.

Three unlocked cars were entered sometime between Aug. 10 and 13. Change was taken from one of the vehicles, in the 3800 block of North Oakland Avenue. Nothing was reported missing from the other two vehicles, in the 4000 block of North Downer Avenue and the 2200 block of East Beverly Road.

A 17-year-old Shorewood boy was cited for OWI-drugs and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, both with two prior convictions, at East Capitol Drive and North Farwell Avenue at 6:05 p.m. Aug. 14. The boy had one gram of marijuana and a scale with residue, according to police.

A female was seen taking eight packages/bottles of baby formula valued at $237 at Metro Market, 4075 N. Oakland Avenue, at about 11 a.m. Aug. 15.

A 25-year-old Kenosha man and a 19-year-old Milwaukee woman were cited for being on Atwater Beach after hours, 4000 N. Lake Drive, at 12:34 a.m. Aug. 16. Police on top of the bluff called to the couple to come up but they refused and then attempted to hide in bushes.

Windows on three locked cars were broken, causing about $200 damage to each, one in the 1700 block of East Capitol Drive and two in the 4000 block of North Farwell Avenue overnight Aug. 15 or 16. Nothing was reported taken.

A $500 Raleigh bicycle was taken from a garage in the 4300 block of North Marlborough Drive sometime Aug. 16.

A 20-year-old Milwaukee woman was cited for theft from her employer after taking about $70 of food at Metro Market, 4075 N. Oakland Avenue, between Aug. 8 and 16.
