Shorewood Police Chief Selected As Brown Deer Chief Of Police

Shorewood Police Department Chief Peter Nimmer was appointed as the new Chief of Police in Brown Deer. His new job starts Sept. 1.

SHOREWOOD, WI β€” The Village of Brown Deer Police Commission appointed Peter Nimmer as its new chief of police. Nimmer is currently Shorewood Police Department's chief β€” He will take over in Brown Deer on Sept. 1, according to a news release from the Brown Deer Police Department.

Nimmer started his law enforcement career in Brown Deer in 1998. Decades later, he has been chosen for one of the top positions in the organization. Nimmer has been Shorewood's chief of police since 2015, according to the news release.

Nimmer is a board member of the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group and an Adjunct Professor at Marquette University for Police Organization, according to the news release.
