Shorewood Police Increasing Patrols After 3 Burglaries This Week

Police officials are asking that you check on your neighbor's homes if they are on vacation.

SHOREWOOD, WI — The Village of Shorewood Police Department is increasing the frequency of patrols in the area after three burglaries were reported at residences in the past week.

Officers responded to a reported garage entry in the 4400 Block on N Marlborough Dr. An unknown actor(s) made entry to the garage but no items were taken.

The Shorewood Police Department is also investigating a residential burglary in the 4500 Block of N. Woodburn St. An unknown actor(s) made entry to both the residence and detached garage at that location.

These three burglaries in the past week have been of either vacant homes or homes where the owners have been on vacation. Police officials are asking that you check on your neighbor's homes if they are on vacation.

Police believe it is possible these occurred on the same day but that has not been able to be confirmed at this point. The Shorewood Police Department has increased patrols in the area and will continue to maintain an increased presence in the area. Please call the police and report anything you observe that may be suspicious, especially vehicles.
