Due to the high number of recent COVID-19 cases in Milwaukee County and Shorewood, the library will require face covering for patrons age two and over and staff pending a medical exception.Β The library will provide a mask, if requested.

The Library employs a variety of mitigation techniques to slow the spread of COVID-19 including distancing between computers, limited chairs in the building, hand sanitizing stations and soon, HEPA filtration units. Adding a face covering requirement for people regardless of vaccination status adds another layer to our strategy to keep patrons and staff safe as the COVID-19 virus continues to evolve.

The masking requirement will be reviewed by the Library Board on a monthly basis.Β All Library Board meetings are public and posted on our events calendar.
