Shorewood Woman Arrested For OWI-3rd, Resisting: Police

Police in Whitefish Bay say the driver of a vehicle was passed out in traffic and later resisted officers.

WHITEFISH BAY — A 54-year-old Shorewood woman was arrested after police in Whitefish Bay said she was passed out behind the wheel in traffic and later resisted officers.

Police say Kathryn A. Yellick was passed out behind the wheel of her vehicle during the early morning hours of Oct. 29, when officers found her vehicle stopped in traffic near the intersection of N. Cumberland Blvd. and N. Morris Blvd. just after 2 a.m.

Officers reported a small dog named Maggie was circling the vehicle as it was stopped in traffic. According to police, the woman was revived and the registered vehicle owner arrived on-scene, took possession of the dog, and the vehicle.

According to reports, Yellick became combative while at the Fox Point Police Department and was evaluated by the North Shore Fire Department for a laceration. She was booked for OWI-3rd offense. An additional charge of resisting arrest was recommended to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office. She was later charged for refusing to submit to an intoxication test following arrest, according to online court records.
