Study Reveals how Shorewood Students Compare With Neighbors, National Averages

SHOREWOOD, WI —Are you smarter than a fifth grader? According to a national study, when it comes to reading and math, the average Shorewood third grader likely is.

An educational study conducted by the University of Stanford, investigated the educational attainment of each U.S. School District and how it compared with national averages.

The study found that students in the Shorewood School District were at an educational level 1.9 grade levels higher than national averages. That means that the average third grader is performing at the educational level nearly equivalent of the U.S. average fifth grader.
