Suspended License Leads to OWI Stop, Drug Charge for Passenger

A Whitefish Bay police traffic stop for a suspended license leads to charges for Shorewood woman, Milwaukee man.

WHITEFISH BAY -- A 21-year-old Shorewood woman who was a passenger in a vehicle, was arrested for possession of 3.0 grams of marijuana after a traffic stop on the 5200 block of N. Lake Drive early morning on Nov. 30.

The driver of that vehicle, a 21-year-old Milwaukee man also arrested for OWI after a Whitefish Bay police officer observed the vehicle's registered owner had a suspended license.

Driver Alec M. Krantz was taken into custody on suspicion of OWI-Drugs Second Offense. Passenger Kira D. Sonnen was taken into custody for possession of THC. Both were transported to the Whitefish Bay Police Department, where Sonnen was cited, booked and released.

Krantz was transported to Columbia St. Mary's Milwaukee for a legal blood draw then to the Whitefish Bay police department where he was cited, booked and released to a responsible party.
