Shorewood residents are now able to circulate nomination papers to run for local elected office. The ballot will consist of two Village Trustee seats and two School Board member seats. The deadline for filing nomination papers is Tuesday, January 4, 2021 by 5:00 p.m. If a primary is needed, the Spring primary will take place Tuesday, February 15, 2021. The main Spring election will be Tuesday, April 5, 2021.In order to help potential candidates learn more about the candidacy filing process, the role of an elected official, and campaign finance requirements, the Village is coordinating a Local Official Candidacy Gathering on Monday, December 6 at 5:00 p.m. The gathering will take place in the Village Center lower level meeting room (3920 N. Murray Ave.).Those with questions about the gathering can contact Village Clerk Toya Harrell at tharrell@shorewoodwi.gov or 414.847.2608. Those that want to get started with their nomination papers in advance of the meeting can also contact the Village Clerk to learn how to get started.
