Violent Summer in Milwaukee Continues: 1 Dead, 2 Injured in Shootings

MILWAUKEE — One man is dead and two more have been injured in three reported shootings overnight in Milwaukee.

According to police, a fatal shooting took place near the intersection of N. 29th St. and Vine St. at about 11:15 p.m. Friday.

When police arrived on the scene, they found a man that was unresponsive. Life-saving measures were attempted by first responders, but were not successful in reviving the man, who died at the scene.

According to a report by FOX 6 today, two more shootings took place overnight, which injured two people.

According to police, a shooting was reported near N. 64th and Hope Avenue around 9:45 p.m. Two people targeted each other when a third person, 22, was struck by gunfire. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injury.

At about 11:45 p.m., a shooting was reported near the intersection of N. 64th and Sheridan Avenue. Police say a 28-year-old man and a 23-year-old man got into a confrontation, and drew weapons against each other. The 28-year-old man was reportedly shot and later transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
