Wisconsin Connections Academy students meet for first time at Growing Power

Growing Power Senior Staff Member Steve Shiro leads WCA students on a tour of Growing Power, Milwaukee's only working farm.

Wisconsin Connections Academy, the state’s leading k-12 virtual school, hosts its first field trip of the 2014-2015 school year at Growing Power, where some students and faculty met for the very first time.

About Wisconsin Connections Academy

Wisconsin Connections Academy is a virtual charter school authorized and operated by the Appleton Area School District (AASD). WCA opened in 2002 and currently serves hundreds of students in kindergarten through 12th grade in communities throughout Wisconsin. The school is approved as a nonprofit corporation and is advised by an independent Board of Directors. WCA offers the complete Connections Academy K-12 program.
