Wisconsin Man Dies After Falling Into Machete

A 35-year-old Washington County man died Wednesday after authorities say he "accidentally" fell into a machete.

OZAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A 35-year-old Washington County man died Wednesday after authorities say he "accidentally" fell into a machete.

That man, identified by authorities as 35-year-old Johnathan Barrett, died as a result of the injuries he sustained after falling onto the 11-inch-long knife.

On Thursday just after 3:15 p.m., the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office responded to Waubedonia Park located in Fredonia on a report that a man suffered a chest injury after falling into a machete.

The man was treated on the scene, and suffered critical injuries.
