24th Annual Service of Lessons and Carols
A seasonal highlight: caroling and lessons of the story of Christmas.
Delight to hear again the message of the angels; go in heart and mind to Bethlehem to see this thing which is come to pass, and the Babe lying in a manger. Peace Lutheran Church and Academy, W240 N6145 Maple Avenue, Sussex, holds its 24th Annual Service of Lessons and Carols Dec. 19, at 7:00 pm. This seasonal highlight features lesson readings interspersed with traditional Christmas carols, sung by two children’s choirs and an adult choir, accompanied by instrumentalists. All ages are welcome, free of charge. The service follows Peace’s family fish fry held from 4:30-7:00 pm. Meals range from $4-$10, with beverage. Home-baked desserts are available at a modest fee.
