Authorities Investigating Two Home Invasions in Sussex

In both cases, suspects entered unlocked homes, sheriff's department says.

According to a department press release, the first invasion was reported by a woman at 9 p.m. June 30 after someone pushed an arm through her open bedroom door. She was able to lock herself in a bathroom and the suspect ran away.

The second incident occurred at about 11 p.m. Monday, when a woman reported that she was awoken in her bed by someone tugging at her shirt. The woman reported seeing the shadow of a person about 5 feet 9 inches tall and wearing shorts.
