I don't care if there's snow and ice outside, I'm ready to Think Spring.
Saturday I stopped at Menards, picked up a few packets of seeds, a plastic cell planting tray and a bag of potting soil. I figured we could start some seedlings for our garden indoors while we wait for Spring to arrive in Wisconsin.
Yesterday, when the girls got off the school bus they helped me fill the cells with soil and drop 2 seeds in each square. We added a bit more soil on top, gave the tray a good soaking with tap water and covered the top with a germinating sheet. Now its a waiting game.

Just having my fingertips covered in soil was a comfort. It may be several days away, but the moment we spy the first green shoots, we'll shout with delight. No matter how small, its a sure sign of new life beginning.
