Local CRL Communities Host Night of Painting and Fresh Food to Benefit the Alzheimer’s Association

CRL Senior Living Communities welcomes painting enthusiasts to their “Sips N’ Dips” benefit which will feature a myriad of fresh food dips, wine, raffle items and, of course, art. The evening is sponsored by two CRL memory care communities Northfield Manor and Merrill Hills Manor.

Tickets are $40 and all proceeds will benefit the Southeastern Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Association. The event will be held 6-9 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 4, at Sips N’ Strokes, W249N5267 Executive Drive in Sussex.

Wendy LaVoy founded Sips N’ Strokes, a philanthropic painting school, in Alabama in 2004. At the benefit, instructors will teach guests step-by-step techniques on how to paint Wisconsin’s lovely summertime “Forget-Me-Nots”. CRL, known for its all-natural dining program, will provide refreshments, including fruit, vegetables, fresh-baked cookies and a variety of tantalizing dips.

“The Alzheimer’s Association provides invaluable services by educating families affected by this growing disease as well as helping to train professional caregivers,” said Susan Harter, Merrill Hills Manor Life Enrichment Coordinator. “This special evening promises to be a great time for local painting enthusiasts, as well as an opportunity to support a terrific organization.”

The event features an art raffle, with six tickets for $5. Raffle tickets are also available for an exclusive Wendy LaVoy “30 x 40” painting at $5 each.
