Family Issues Leads to a Drunk Lannon Man Screaming at Police

Suspect began yelling at a sheriff's deputy because he has problems with family members who are also police officers.

A 26-year-old Lannon man is facing charges after he decided to voice his aggressions towards police in his own family to a sheriff’s deputy on patrol in the Town of Lisbon Monday night.

Joshua G. Witkowski was charged in Tuesday with one count of disorderly conduct and one count of second offense operating while intoxicated. If convicted, he could face up to nine months in prison and $2,100 in fines.

A sheriff’s deputy on patrol around 6:24 p.m. Monday was near Hillside Road and Plainview Road helping in an incident where someone hit a deer with their car when Witkowski drove by and started yelling “(expletive) the cops” and “I hate (expletive) cops! (Expletive) cops.”

He came to a stop at the intersection, continued to shout at the deputy and then drove through the intersection, squealing his tires and nearly hitting another car in front of him.

The deputy them pulled Witkowski over and asked him why he was yelling at him, and Witkowski said he has family members who are cops and he can’t stand any of them. He then told the deputy he’s going through some anger issues in his life and stuck something in his mouth.

When the deputy asked him what he put in his mouth, Witkowski said “it’s a piece of pizza” and showed it to the officer.

Witkowski appeared drunk, so the deputy then asked him to perform some field sobriety tests, which caused him to get agitated and yell at the deputy to “take some of my (expletive) blood.”

He then calmed down and took several tests and failed.

Witkowski was previously convicted of drunk driving in 2005. He’s currently free on $250 bail while awaiting trial.
