Luckily my hip younger sister was visiting when the girls came home from school today. Josephine and Coryn each carried an autograph packet filled with the letters "H.A.G.S." followed by signatures of school friends. My sister clued us in on the abbreviation for Have A Great Summer.
Summer vacation is just three days away. This week Jo begins soccer exclusively on Wed. nights (no weekends). And starting next week, all three girls have swim lessons on weekday mornings at Arrowhead High School. Other than those two scheduled activities, our summer calendar is wide open.
With the extra evening daylight these past few weeks we've begun a new post-dinner ritual: Taking a family bike ride to a nearby playground.
This spring we purchased a dome tent, big enough to fit our family of five. We'll pitch it in the backyard and practice camping before we take the real plunge: three days at a state park.
Our summer will be low-key with a touch of S.S.B.C. - Swimming, Soccer, Biking, Camping
