The Sussex Lions Club, which includes the former Lioness Club, donated school supplies and books for students in need in the local community. Items were donated to Superintendent Paul Mielke, Ph.D., for distribution to students in the Hamilton School District.

More than $1,800 worth of supplies were donated because of a partnership with the Sussex Meijer grocery store. The Lions Club donated $400 and Meijer provided a discount that allowed the club to purchase $1,800 of supplies.
