Hamilton sophomore Nick Knoebel lost 7-1 to senior David Cabral of Franklin on Thursday in the first round of the WIAA Division 1 state wrestling tournament.
Knoebel, the only Hamilton wrestler to qualify, is 22-11. He meets Taylor French of Elkhorn (29-15) on Friday morning in the consolation bracket.
