Snatching Identities for Food Stamps

A 22-year-old Sussex man called police from his apartment on the N68W24000 block of Stonegate Court after he found out someone was trying to steal his identity. The mystery person somehow used the man’s social security number to register for food stamps and BadgerCare. Police are still investigating the fraudulent registration.

A Safe-Zone Thief

Police were called to after a visitor received a pretty rude awakening. The report says a 41-year-old Sussex woman parked in the school’s parking lot during her stay, but when she returned, her vehicle’s window was smashed. To add insult to injury, the criminal stole the woman’s purse. The Sussex resident isn’t a Woodside employee, and police are following up on the case.

Sibling Rivalry Taken Too Far

A 30-year-old Sussex man called police on Friday after noticing a few crucial things missing from his home: two televisions and a wine refrigerator. The oddest part is he thinks he knows who the thief is. The man, who lives on the N60W23000 block of Butternut Lane, says he’s sure his 32-year-old sister stole the items. Police haven’t confirmed the sibling scuffle, but it’s still under investigation.

A Gang of Teens Being Teens

Police were called to the N59W23000 block of Clover Drive on Sunday after a band of teens took their fun on Sunday a bit too far. Six teens ranging in age from 16 to 18-years-old wielded handfuls of eggs and pelted a local resident’s car. The resident apparently saw, and because they kids didn’t have bikes or a car, they were quickly apprehended. Each teen was issued a ticket for disorderly conduct.
