Sheriff's Department Responds To Two Sussex Burglaries

28-year-old accused of stealing cash, credit card from apartment while flat screen television and laptop stolen from home.

A 28-year-old woman is accused of stealing a significant amount of cash and a credit card from an apartment at Locust Street, north of Main Street, according to the Waukesha Sheriff's Department.

The theft is believed to have occurred between 2:30 p.m. Sept. 16 and 11 a.m. Sept. 17. The burglar lives nearby, according to police, who noted there was no sign of forced entry.  

The sherrff's department is also investigating a burglary of a flat screen television and a laptop on Homestead Court off of Waukesha Avenue during the day on Sept 17. The flat screen is valued at $3,000 and the laptop is valued at $1,500.
