Sheriff's Department Investigating Incident Involving Infant

The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an emergency situation in Sussex involving an infant.

Sheriff’s Department Detective Steve Pederson said deputies and emergency personnel were called to investigate an incident Saturday evening on Lilac Drive after it was reported an infant had stopped breathing.

Pederson said the child is alive and the department investigates all incidents related to a medical situation involving infants.

The incident remains under investigation, but there doesn’t appear to be anything suspicious at this time, he said.
