Some Gas in Sussex Up 30 Cents Within 72-Hour Period
Price jump blamed on potential $100 per barrel crude oil, the result of uncertain supply in volatile northern African nations, especially Libya, and the Middle East.
Gas prices in Sussex for regular unleaded jumped from roughly $3.10 to $3.13 per gallon a few weeks ago, to another plateau at roughly $3.20
Then, on Thursday prices between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. jumped to between $3.26 and $3.30 per gallon.
By Saturday afternoon, the price for regular unleaded at most stations was hovering at $3.36 but one station in Sussex was up to $3.40 per gallon.
