Sussex Man Charged With Passing Bad Checks At Piggly Wiggly

A 44-year-old Sussex man is facing charges after he allegedly wrote two bad checks to .
Ernest E. Bybee was charged in Tuesday with two counts of issuance of a worthless check. If convicted, he faces up to 18 months in prison and $20,000 in fines.

On Jan. 28, Bybee went to Piggly Wiggly and bought $44.89 worth of goods and paid with a check. He back the next day and bought another $44.92 worth of goods. Both checks were later returned due to insufficient funds.
He will make his initial appearance in court June 11.
