Waukesha Man Charged After Failing to Reseal a Driveway in Sussex

Suspect took $300 to perform the work and never showed up to the victim's home again.

A 29-year-old Waukesha man is facing charges after he allegedly defrauded a Sussex woman by taking $300 to reseal her driveway, but never performed the work.

Joshua J. Frami was charged in Wednesday with one count of theft by contractor. If convicted, he faces up to nine months in prison and $10,000 in fines.

The victim’s son met Frami while staying at the Cephas House in Waukesha after he got out of prison, and suggested she hire Frami to reseal her driveway.

Frami met with the victim at her home on Tulip Lane in August and took $200 and agreed to perform the work. The next day he showed up to the home and asked for another $100 and told the victim he would be back later in the day to perform the work, however, he never returned.

Frami is currently being held in Waukesha County Jail on $10,000 cash bail.
