Week Ahead: Village Board, Energy Assistance And USO Fundraiser

Village Board

The Village Board will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday to discuss a number of items that are on the agenda. During the meeting, which will be held in Village Hall, trustees will deliberate and take possible action on the Sussex Sled Bugs use of the trails, a contract with the Humane Animal Welfare Society and renewal of a contract with TruGreen for lawn care. 

The Waukesha County Energy Assistance will be at Sussex Village Hall on Friday, Oct. 12. Those in need of energy assistance can apply at that time. Assistance will be available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  For information on the program, call (262) 549-9666 ext. 12 or 13.  

A holiday shopping fundraising event will be held at the Boneyard Pub & Grille, N64 W23180 Main St., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13. All proceeds will go to benefit the USO of Wisconsin, which assists servicemen and women and their families in need.
