Woman Accused of Sleeping with Sussex Teen Waives Preliminary Hearing

Brittany Barcus, the woman accused of holding a , has waived her preliminary hearing and is now bound over for trial.

Barcus, 24, waived her preliminary hearing in Waukesha County Circuit Court Friday and her arraignment has been scheduled for Nov. 14.

Barcus is accused of having the relationship with the boy in 2010. The two would have sex when her boyfriend was gone and her children were asleep. Neighbors also reported she and the victim would walk around like boyfriend and girlfriend and cuddle on the couch.

The allegations came to light after Barcus showed a neighbor pictures she took of the victim wearing little boy shorts, which raised suspicions.

Barcus faces more than 100 years in prison if convicted of the charges. She’s currently free on $100,000 signature bond.
