Outdoor Recreation Roundtable is Announcing Rural Grants (rvbusiness.com) ā Two Rivers is receiving a $7,500 national grant to launch a free outdoor wellness paddling program, starting with winter pool-based kayak lessons and moving to guided trips on local waters next spring. The city will also host adaptive paddling training and purchase specialized equipment so veterans, older adults, and residents with disabilities can safely enjoy kayaking close to home.

Silver Alert issued for missing Two Rivers man with Alzheimer's (wearegreenbay.com) ā Authorities are searching for 83-year-old Robert Tomchek, who left his Two Rivers home early Friday and may be disoriented due to Alzheimerās disease. Residents are asked to watch for a 5'10", 245-pound man in a black vest, camo shorts, and an Engineers Local 139 cap, and to contact the Manitowoc County Sheriffās Office with any sightings.

New Holstein upended by Chilton to highlight Week 7 football recap (sheboyganpress.com) ā Area high school football fans in Two Rivers will notice New Holstein turning its focus toward the Raiders after a tough homecoming loss to Chilton. The Week 7 roundup also notes Valdersā 30-0 win over Two Rivers and other regional scores, setting up a crucial late-season stretch for conference standings and playoff positioning.

Former Hamilton Museum art director exhibits at Vatican (fdlreporter.com) ā Two Riversā own Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum gets a spotlight as former art director Bill Moran debuts new letterpress works in a major Vatican Library exhibit. Moran credits his time helping grow the Two Rivers museumās world-class wood type collection for shaping the creative path that led from northeastern Wisconsin print shops to an international stage.
