15,300-Square Foot New Berlin Sports Facility To Open Oct. 1

The Ethic Indoor Sports Facility will debut in a daylong grand opening with sports, food, music, and an Olympic Gold medalist.

NEW BERLIN, WI — Just 10 days, one hour, seven minutes, and 26 seconds.

On Friday, the Orthopedic Associates of Wisconsin announced that the grand opening of their 15,300-square-foot indoor sports complex would take place on Oct. 1, and it has initiated a second-by-second countdown on its website.

The new facility, which is being constructed on the site of the old Prospect Hill School at 5530 S. Racine Ave. in New Berlin, will feature:

  • A 3,500-square foot orthopedic physical therapy clinic,
  • Baseball, soccer, football, lacrosse, and field hockey fields
  • Four regulation basketball courts
  • Pickleball courts
  • Performance development training
  • A fitness facility
  • A cafe
  • Classrooms

“The partnership with Orthopaedic Associates of Wisconsin helps solidify the creation of a top-quality indoors sports complex for the entire family with leading-edge, on-site orthopedic care,” developer Aaron Kahle of Kahle Builders, LLC. said in a February news release.

The Oct. 1 opening will feature an all-day open house with food, music, games, drinks, giveaways, and scrimmages in pickleball, lacrosse, softball, and more. The ribbon cutting will take place at 6, and the grand opening will last till 8 p.m. It will be attended by two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Michele Smith, according to a flyer. Entry to the grand opening is free.
