The study also highlights several other Wisconsin cities, but Waukesha leads the state’s midsize communities in overall safety.

• Janesville City Council set to vote on Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area in downtown (gazettextra.com) — Janesville officials are weighing a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area downtown, and Waukesha is cited as one of at least 10 Wisconsin cities already using similar zones. The council vote is set for this Tuesday.

• A Memorial Wall rises (madison.com) — A new permanent Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in nearby Watertown now honors more than 58,000 fallen and missing service members, including four from Watertown and 31 from Dodge, Jefferson and western Waukesha counties.
