• Janesville City Council set to vote on Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area in downtown (gazettextra.com) — Janesville officials are weighing a new Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area downtown, and Waukesha is cited as one of several Wisconsin cities already using similar zones. The proposal would let people carry alcoholic drinks in marked plastic cups within a defined area and hours, with a one-year trial period and strict rules for participating bars and restaurants. Supporters say it could boost downtown business and foot traffic.
