• Gerald Thomas Betthauser (monroecountyherald.com) — Waukesha readers may remember Gerald "Jerry" Betthauser, who worked for years at Wisconsin Centrifugal Foundry and A & A Trucking in Waukesha and raised two sons here. The 90-year-old later retired to Tomah, where he remained active in his church and farming; a memorial Mass is planned Sept. 19 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Indian Creek.
   

• Daniel Kelly (philanthropyroundtable.org) — Former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Daniel Kelly once called Waukesha home while earning his political science and Spanish degree at Carroll College, now Carroll University. His career has included high-level legal work, a Supreme Court appointment, and current consulting on constitutional issues, offering local residents context on an alumnus with statewide influence.
