2. Waukesha to discontinue Flock (gmtoday.com) — Waukesha's Common Council has voted to end its contract with Flock automated license plate cameras after 2026, following concerns about the vendor's business practices. Police Chief Dan Thompson still backs the technology itself and plans to seek a new provider, aiming to avoid any gap in crime‑fighting tools while prioritizing transparency, data security, and public trust.

3. DA finds Waukesha officer justified in July Meijer shooting (cbs58.com) — Waukesha's district attorney has ruled that a city police officer was justified in shooting an armed man inside the Meijer on East Sunset Drive in July, citing an immediate threat to a nearby victim and officers. The suspect and a 59-year-old victim were hospitalized, and while the store reopened the next day, key investigative records remain sealed while a related criminal case proceeds.

4. Silver Alert issued for 68-year-old Waukesha Co. man (wisn.com) — A Silver Alert is active for 68-year-old Abran Huerta, who ran from a Sussex group home Thursday afternoon and is being sought by the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department. Residents in Waukesha County are urged to watch for a 5-foot-7 man wearing a black sweatshirt, black sweatpants, white hat, and white socks, and call 262-446-5070 with any information.

5. Drivers hunt for cheaper diesel as Wisconsin prices hit record high (tmj4.com) — Drivers around Waukesha are feeling the pinch as diesel prices hit record highs statewide, with one local Amoco still offering a relative bargain at about $5.29 per gallon.
