The project aims to turn the closed campus into an affordable family neighborhood, though details like construction timeline and home sizes are still being finalized.
2. Waukesha County investigating death at crisis stabilization facility (jsonline.com) — Authorities are investigating an apparent suicide at Waukesha's Regional Crisis Stabilization Facility on Airport Road, with the county sheriff and medical examiner reviewing what happened. Waukesha County will also conduct an internal review of the center, one of several statewide facilities created to support people in mental health or substance use crises.
3. Small Town Crime Wave for September 28th [AUDIO] (wapl.com) — In Waukesha, a construction crew watched a driver ignore barricades and end up stuck in wet concrete on September 22, one of several odd police calls highlighted in a regional "Small Town Crime Wave." 4. A look at Waukesha County's most expensive recent home sales (jsonline.com) — Recent high-end home sales in Waukesha County show that, despite an overall August slowdown in the Milwaukee metro housing market, this area is still seeing growth. Oconomowoc police arrest man following report of suspicious activity (gmtoday.com) — An Oconomowoc man was arrested after police linked him to shots fired into a home and booked him into the Waukesha County Jail, with charges sent to the Waukesha County District Attorney. No one was hurt, but investigators are still gathering evidence and asking anyone with information or video from the South Franklin and West Second area to come forward.
