Ashlyn Flegel, 12-Year-Old Pewaukee Girl, Dies From July 19 Bicycle Accident
Ashlyn Flegel succumbs to injuries one week after she collided with a vehicle in Pewaukee while riding her bicycle.

PEWAUKEE -- The 12-year-old girl who was struck by a vehicle on Prospect Ave in Pewaukee on July 19 has died as of late Tuesday evening.
Authorities have released her name. She is Ashlyn Flegel, 12, of Pewaukee.
Flegel was transported via Flight for Life to Children's Hospital after the bicycle she was riding collided with a car Tuesday morning July 19.

The Waukesha County Sheriff is reporting that the accident happened on Prospect Avenue at Apple Tree Lane just after 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
According to a witness, Flegel was traveling northbound on Apple Tree Lane approaching Prospect Avenue when her bicycle traveled through the stop sign into the path of a vehicle eastbound on Prospect Avenue.

The vehicle, a Honda Civic, struck the bicycle on Prospect Avenue, the Waukesha County Sheriff is reporting.
The operator of the vehicle is a 34βyear-old female also from Pewaukee.
Flegel sustained serious injuries and was transported by Flight for Life to Childrenβs Hospital.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
