BrightStar Care Helping Caregivers Receive Nursing Assistant Certification

BrightStar Care Madison, which offers home care and healthcare staffing, recently announced the launch of its scholarship program. “We are seeking to hire qualified caregivers who have yet to earn their nursing assistant certification,” said Jeffrey Tews, owner of BrightStar Care Madison.

Scholarship applicants are required to have at least two years of caregiving experience, preferably as a Personal Care Worker (PCW) or Resident Assistant (RA). Once completing the hiring process and orientation, they can begin working with BrightStar Care. After working 500 hours, BrightStar Care will pay for the CNA course, including all books and testing fees.

“During the program, care workers can also complete home study modules to earn extra hours towards their 500,” added Tews. “We hope to help ten people earn their CNA license through this program between now and July 2017.”
