Bugenhagen Announces 2020 Appeals Court Candidacy
Bugenhagen was elected in 2015 to the Waukesha County Circuit Court.

WAUKESHA, WI -- Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge Paul Bugenhagen, Jr. announced that he is running for the Wisconsin District II Court of Appeals seat currently held by Judge Lisa Neubauer.
Neubauer was elected to the State Court of Appeals District II in 2007, was re-elected in 2014 and has served as chief justice since 2015. Her term ends in 2020. Neubauer narrowly lost in her bid to earn a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court in April to fellow challenger Brian Hagedorn.
Bugenhagen was elected in 2015 to the Waukesha County Circuit Court and currently presides over the family and probate divisions of the court. He was named head of the family court division in 2018.

The District Two Appellate Court includes Calumet, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Kenosha, Manitowoc, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington, Waukesha, and Winnebago counties. This seat is currently held by Judge Lisa Neubauer.
"I am honored to announce my candidacy for the Wisconsin Court of Appeals because Wisconsin deserves a judge who will uphold the rule of law and defend our Constitution -- including the religious liberties of all Wisconsinites," he said in a statement to Patch.
